The local area is rich in historic sights and rural traditions. Of note, the local area is an old centre for filigree gold jewellery making. In the local villages and at Casa de Alfena itself there are workshops (some old, some still in use). The gold jewellery museum and shop, housed in one of Casa de Alfena's old workshops is fascinating, with a vast collection of all the old implements and antique jewellery. Another highlight of the area are the Vinho Verde vineyards, which you will see everywhere. A good place to taste the wines are in the village bars, and Casa de Alfena can also recommend places for wine-tasting.

GUEST BOOK COMMENTS
Cosette, France. 2012
